With a vision to build a downtown creative haven that would rejuvenate Detroit’Äôs musical legacy, and possessing the technical expertise to transform that dream into a reality, Mark Pastoria is the driving force behind the state-of-the-art recording studio that stands as the centerpiece of Harmonie Park. Mark amassed impressive production credentials after joining the Detroit rock band Adrenalin in 1981, as keyboard player, before subsequently becoming part of the restructured group DC Drive in 1988. Harmonie Park is excited to be working with Larry Lee. His band Back In The Day is an old school funk R&B Band and he is one talented individual. In 1973, Ralphe Armstrong - a 17-year-old Detroit kid just out of high school tried out for a gig with the Mahavishnu Orchestra. "The other person who auditioned at the same time was Jaco Pastorius," he says." Jaco had a different sound then. He had an old, beat-up fretted Fender Precision, as I recall.
